Interview Prep

Having prepared a multitude of students for their college interviews, many of whom were certain they needed no assistance but were placating their parents, I can confidently state: you are not as prepared as you can be for a college interview.
This does not mean you aren’t smart or haven’t achieved good grades; you’ve simply never done this before! Almost every person speaks less formally during interviews than they self-perceive.
Unlike other interview prep coaches, I do not provide sample questions before the mock interview because the college interviewer will not provide a list of questions beforehand. During Mock Interviews, I play the role of Interviewer.

- I redirect throughout.
STEP 2
- You, and possibly your parent(s), watch the video at your convenience. Take notes. Contemplate and prepare for mock interview #2.
- Ask me questions before mock interview #2.
STEP 3
- Videotaped mock interview #2 via Zoom. Link shared only with you and your parent(s).
- Up to one hour.
- Some of the same questions.
- Some new questions. Redirection throughout.
STEP 4
- Watch the video at your convenience. Take notes.
STEP 5
- We’ll meet via Zoom for a relaxed conversation about the preparation. I will work with you until I feel you are ready (many students are initially unreasonably over-confident).
